Google announced [Chrome Enterprise Recommended](https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/chrome-enterprise/new-solutions-to-modernize-your-workforce) today, a program aimed at verifying partner technology for use on Chrome OS. We're excited to announce that the Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect App is a Chrome Enterprise Recommended solution. This designation marks our commitment to delivering world-class network security to our customers on whatever endpoint devices they use.

Organizations are more mobile than ever, accessing the network from any place, at any time. Given this reality, endpoint antivirus and VPN technologies aren't enough to stop advanced threats. By protecting Chrome device traffic with Prisma Access or the Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall using the GlobalProtect Android app for Chrome OS, organizations deploying Chrome OS devices can now secure their remote users and gain visibility into users, traffic and applications.

GlobalProtect enables you to provide secure access for your remote workforce and enforce consistent security policies with Palo Alto Networks [Prisma Access](https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/blog/2020/05/network-remote-work/) and [Next-Generation Firewalls](https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/blog/2020/06/network-pan-os-10-0/). GlobalProtect provides scalable remote access, granular access control and simplified policy management, as well as post-connect traffic monitoring for [true Zero Trust Network Access](https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/blog/2020/06/network-zero-trust-strategy/) (ZTNA). Regardless of where your users are or how they connect, GlobalProtect scales secure remote access across hybrid environments. Key capabilities include:

##### **Zero Touch Provisioning**

IT administrators can use the Google Admin Console to enable [zero touch provisioning of the GlobalProtect](https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/globalprotect/9-1/globalprotect-admin/mobile-endpoint-management/set-up-a-mobile-endpoint-management-system/manage-the-globalprotect-app-using-a-third-party-mdm/deploy-the-globalprotect-mobile-app/deploy-the-globalprotect-app-for-android-on-managed-chromebooks-using-the-google-admin-console.html) Android App for Chrome OS to your managed chrome devices.

##### **Extend and Enforce Security Policies**

With always-on security, ensure your remote users have secure access to resources irrespective of where they are located.

* Secure your organization's Mobile User Chrome devices by extending capabilities and enforcing security policies created on Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access, Next-Generation Firewalls and VM-Series Firewalls.
* Enforce security policies based on the GlobalProtect [Host Information Profile Report](https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/globalprotect/9-1/globalprotect-admin/host-information/about-host-information/what-data-does-the-globalprotect-app-collect-on-each-operating-system.html#id456c7876-e03e-40d6-98d1-fd6e99f515c3).
* Enforce always-on security to monitor user traffic (including SaaS and internet traffic) and prevent security threats.
