To us, this recognition acknowledges not only our cloud workload security excellence but also our understanding of customer needs in the evolving threat landscape. This recognition comes months after a November 2023 commissioned Total Economic Impact™ study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of Palo Alto Networks. In their Cloud Workload Security, Q1 2024 report, using 21 predefined criteria, Forrester evaluated 13 vendors they considered top cloud workload security (CWS) platforms. Not to be confused with cloud workload protection, CWS encompasses a range of critical controls, including [cloud security posture management (CSPM)](https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/cyberpedia/what-is-cloud-security-posture-management), cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM), cloud workload protection, infrastructure as code (IaC) security, container runtime protection, and detection and response.
