We use the web browser to do everything these days. It's where [85% of work happens](https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/blog/sase/six-uncomfortable-truths-about-working-in-web-browsers/), whether accessing your SaaS apps like checking a sales lead in Salesforce or requesting time off in Workday. However, most people take for granted the fact that consumer browsers are inherently insecure because they were built to provide access to online information, not to protect you against incoming risks from the sites and apps you are accessing.

As a result, [95% of companies](https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/blog/sase/six-uncomfortable-truths-about-working-in-web-browsers/) have experienced a security incident originating from a browser --- because these "consumer-grade" tools simply do not protect users against today's most sophisticated attacks.

Then there's the growth in unmanaged devices, like your personal mobile phone or an independent worker's laptop -- anything not issued and managed by your company. Additionally, 53% of organizations surveyed weren't confident in their ability to address security issues in unmanaged or poorly managed devices.
